Silvia Salvadori's Bottega d'Arte, located in Via Bicchieraia 24 in Arezzo, is one of the very few in Italy to re-propose what are the ancient local painting techniques, following the treatises of Cennino Cennini in his work Il Libro dell'Arte e di Giorgio Vasari in the Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors and Architects.

Through this way of proceeding, Salvadori is able to create paintings on a gold background, which, although today, seem indeed ancient works, given that the artist not only uses the techniques, but also the tools and pigments that were used in the past.

The Workshop and Art Gallery works just like the ancient ones, with the artist who, in addition to creating free creative compositions, also works on commission, carrying on a tradition that has been going on for centuries, yet today guarded by very few. In line with the principles of the Bottega d'Arte, Silvia Salvadori has created the much-followed column Drops of the Middle Ages, which speaks of medieval art and the history of ancient painting techniques under multiple facets.

Inside the Bottega, the author also paid homage to Arezzo, presenting her painting dedicated to Minerva, where this mythical figure, symbol of Liberty and the Arts, towers shiningly dressed in the classic style, while on the background you can see the stylized city of Arezzo , recalling the importance of Beauty, and also how essential it is to preserve such a significant heritage.
